THE MUSEUM OF INCOMPLETE
Every day, nearly 100 lives are left unfinished due to gun violence. When a life is taken due to gun violence, the loss experienced by friends, families, and communities is unimaginable. It is our duty to change gun violence statistics from numbers into the harsh reality that lives are being lost.

Joaquin Oliver was a victim of the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida. His death meant he was never able to finish the basketball season with his team. His parents, Manuel and Patricia, have submitted his basketball shoes to represent Joaquin’s incomplete season.
Who We Are
Change the Ref is a nonprofit founded by Manuel and Patricia Oliver in memory of their son, Joaquin, one of the 17 people who lost their lives during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018.
CTR’s mission is to give the younger generation of survivors and victims a disruptive voice and empower them to fight for their values and impact change for their futures.
