The Incomplete Drawing
Artifact: Surf Drawing
Peter Verge was a California kid who lived to chase the perfect wave. He loved drawing and surfing, and on most mornings, he could be found leaving the house at the crack of dawn to hit the water. Those who knew him described him as happy and easygoing, an 18-year-old who lived his life to the fullest. He dreamed of moving to Hawaii to ride the best waves the world has to offer.
Peter was shot and killed two weeks before Christmas in 1978. His incomplete life and passion for surfing are represented by one of his many sketches. His sketch, much like his dream of spending his time in the Hawaiian surf, will be incomplete forever.
